ANTOINE-MUSANGANYA THE WASHINGTON PROCESS AND THE END OF THE ECONOMIC WAR IN THE DR CONGO July 14, 2025 Under the mediation of the United States of America, the Democratic Republic of Congo concluded the Peace and Economic Cooperation Agreements with Rwanda. These successful talks allowed both parties to reach a consensus and bring about an end to the economic war. During this turbulent period, the DR Congo was devastated by war and political conflicts, which led to the collapse of the Congolese state, which was driven into hasbara. The war tore a state apart and caused the Congolese nation to collapse, failing and falling into the abyss. The Congo was characterized by widespread chaos, the Congolese state was dysfunctional and the imminent danger of maintaining totalitarianism threatened the country but the pressure of the United States of America, the influence of the European Union, under the pressure exerted by the primary sovereign on the power in place, by pressure from foreign powers including Western and with political will, the republic the start of the country which was leading to decline and the government managed to put the country back on track. It thus began the project of reconstruction of the Congo and aligned itself with the path of resolution of the security crisis, of internal reorganization by tackling the fundamental problems and by fighting the internal and external enemy in order to ensure the refoundation of the Congolese state and to trigger development through industrialization. The government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is proposing structural reforms and activating initiatives to ensure the country's gradual recovery, as well as the implementation mechanism to establish a peace framework and ensure the reconstruction of the country to guarantee the re-establishment of the Congolese state. Indeed, Rwanda had entered the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Congo War was unleashed. A machete war with mutilations, as U.S. President Donald Trump stated during the press conference at the closing of the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands. On Friday, June 27, 2025, the Democratic Republic of the Congo concluded peace and economic cooperation agreements with Rwanda and signed agreements with the United States of America on the exploitation of Congo's mineral resources. The Congo War is coming to an end.
